We bet you had no idea that the 80's hairband, Poison was secretly a Christian band. Yep. Thanks to the vision casting skills of Perry Noble, the Purpose-Driven pope of South Carolina, we have learned that Poison's hit song 'Nothin But a Good Time' was secretly a Christian praise song. Perry Noble, after receiving a direct vision from God that revealed this hidden truth, had his church's praise and worship set on August 8th, 2010 open with this long forgotten Christian gem.. Don't worry if you don't know the words to this praise song, the lyrics were provided so that you too can sing along and "worship" with the rest of the church as they sing 'Nothin But a Good Time'.

Note: Maybe the song title 'Nothin But a Good Time' describes what you should expect from Perry's church. Don't expect in-depth sound Biblical preaching. Don't expect an unflinching focus on Christ and Him crucified for our sins. Nope, don't expect 'Nothin But a Good Time'.

Because the King of Kings and Lord of Lords is most highly praised, worshiped and honored through lyrics that bring vomit and barf to the front of your mind. This song brings new meaning to the phrase "worship at the porcelain altar".

Is Jesus Relevant for LGBT People?

At First Baptist Church, Hammond, Indiana you can win cash prizes for inviting your friends to church. At the 2:12 point in the video the pastor actually does some quick math and calculates that the church is only paying $12.50 per visitor.

Imagine having to explain this to your neighbor.

False Gold Dust "Miracles"

This video features false prophet, Joshua Mills and others parading a simple parlor trick as a miracle when it is anything but an act of God.

Ironically, the Bible does mention gold dust. But, when it mentions gold dust, it is not a blessing or a miracle. Here's what the Bible says:

F-Bomb Sermon Series & Rage Against the Machine at Elevation "Church"??

Below is a video of the "worship" segment of the most recent service at Elevation Church. This is the song by Rage Against the Machine entitled Bulls on parade. This song was sung to help kick off Elevation's new sermon series F-Bomb.

To their credit the folks at Elevation tried to clean up the lyrics a bit in an effort to "christianize" them. (The original lyrics to the song are posted below the video for reference) But the question still needs to be asked, what business do these types of songs have being 'performed' in a church service? God's Holy Word and His Holy Bride don't need gutter music and innuendo to make them relevant. In fact, adorning the bride of Christ, with these worldly methods makes her look like nothing more than a cheap whore.

We'd be wise to take a closer look at God's word and really come to grips with what James 4:4 means. It states, "You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God."

Circus Church...No Really We Mean CIRCUS CHURCH

Kerry Shook, Purpose-Driven icon, and ringmaster at Fellowship of the Woodlands Church Circus recently sent out an email to the members of his congregation big top that read:

Faith is like a trapeze act: you've got to let go of what you've got in order to take hold of what you have not! To help me illustrate this in my message of faith I've asked the Wallenda-Cortes Team to join us this weekend...This weekend the Flying Wallenda and Cortes family are returning but this time on the trapeze! In addition, there will be inflatables for the kids and plenty of food vendors available for the whole family.

Ooooh aaaah. We're sure that this circus performance will be a delight to children of all ages. Too bad Jesus Christ and sound edifying Biblical doctrine taught via an expository Bible sermon didn't make the marquee. But then again you can't expect to grow a church nowadays by preaching Christ and Him Crucified for Our Sins. Yuck who wants to hear about that when you can have a circus at church instead?

Large portions of the American church have traded in sound Christ Centered doctrine and expository Bible teaching for shallow, banal, crass, sphincter humor and entertainment. Here's an example from the Skit Guys. Lucky Us...Their videos are available for sale on the internet so that your cutting edge, relevant, hipster pastor can play them during his next cutting edge innovative sermon series. Afterall, you can't claim that your church is relevant and cutting edge unless you show a few humorous videos with just enough sphincter and dog poop humor thrown in to keep the pagans laughing.

Breast Centered NOT Cross Centered Theology?

What happens when seminaries abandon the Bible and no longer proclaim and defend the scriptures as the inerrant, authoritative, inspired Word of God? Answer: those same seminaries wander off in to spiritual asininity (Eph. 4:14). Here's a prime example of this from Union Theological Seminary:

"Once honored for voicing substantive theology in the Reformed tradition, Union Theological Seminary’s 2010 Sprunt Lectures will feature a feminist speaker who favors replacing the cross with a lactating breast. The event will occur May 3-5 on the seminary’s Richmond, Va., campus. Union is one of 11 seminaries that are officially related to the Presbyterian Church (USA).

Sprunt Lecturer Margaret R. Miles is emerita professor of Historical Theology at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkley, Calif. Employing a title reminiscent of the denominationally sponsored Re-Imagining God Conference in 1993, Miles’ topic is “Revisioning Historical Theology.”

“Although theologians may have claimed that crucifixion scenes exhibited the extremity of God’s love for humans, it was scenes of the child sucking at the breast that spoke to people on the basis of their earliest experience,” she said. This symbol was replaced by the cross, argued Miles, when patriarchal Western Europeans “secularized the breast. . . . Miles suggested that the cross is inappropriate as a symbol of God’s love because `it presents a violent act as salvific.'”

This isn't Christian doctrine. This is pure whore like spiritual adultery and feminist nonsense!

Preaching about sex is supposed to be relevant. It's supposed to be a way to show the world that your church cares about their felt needs. It supposed to be a way of letting pagans know that the church is cutting edge, hip and bolder than other churches that are sexually puritanical.

SANTA ANA - A play depicting Jesus as a gay man played to an appreciative audience in a packed church sanctuary tonight while a handful of protesters outside called it blasphemous.

It was the second showing of "Corpus Christi" in Orange County in about two years. The show sparked protests and bomb threats at its 1998 opening at the Manhattan Theatre Club in New York.

Minister Launches "Spiritual But Not Religious" Movement

Those who identify themselves as "spiritual but not religious" have a new home.

SBNR.org was launched this month in Grand Haven, Mich., for the millions of people in the United States who "desire a deep experience of life ... without the limitations and baggage of doctrine and religion," as stated on the website.

A social media company, SBNR.org was founded by Ian Lawton, an Australian minister who describes himself as independent spiritual teacher.

"I'm happy now to number myself amongst the millions of people around the world who describe ourselves as spiritual but not religious," Lawton tells visitors to the website.

Muslim hired to run church's youth programs

A non-denominational Mississauga church known for its liberal religious practices has taken the unusual step of hiring an outspoken Muslim woman to run its youth programs.

The Unitarian Congregation announced yesterday it has appointed Farzana Hassan as director of spiritual exploration.

Hassan is a well-known author and poet and an outspoken activist who has butted heads with orthodox imams on issues such as hijab, polygamy and terrorism.

The Mississauga resident is also a past president of the Muslim Canadian Congress.
Hassan will be responsible for introducing and running children and youth programs for the church.

This is not the first controversial move for the congregation. In 1982, it invited an openly-gay member, Mark DeWolfe, to become a minister. (Online Source)

UCC’s health advocates press for increased condom distribution IN CHURCHES

The United Church of Christ is pressing for a new type of 'sex challenge' for their churches. They want UCC Churches to be condom distribution centers.

Highlighting the need for churches to be places of spiritual and physical wellness, UCAN, Inc. (United Church of Christ HIV and AIDS Network) has issued a statement encouraging condom distribution at places of worship.

The statement, presented to the UCC’s Wider Church Ministries joint board meeting in Cleveland March 19, comes on the heels of a renewed focus on the global HIV/AIDS epidemic."(Online Source)

Wow, we missed that mandate in the scriptures. We had no idea that fulfilling the great commission included handing out condoms so that people can engage in sinful sexual activity without fear of contracting a disease.

Church authorities not to discipline Dutch 'atheist' pastor

Utrecht, Netherlands (ENI). Two regional church authorities in the Netherlands are reported to have decided to take no disciplinary action against a self-proclaimed atheist pastor, Klaas Hendrikse.

The decision of the authorities in the southern Dutch province of Zeeland was published in a letter to their congregations, the Protestant daily newspaper the Nederlands Dagblad reported on 24 March.

The church authorities said disciplinary proceedings against Hendrikse, who is a pastor of the Protestant Church in the Netherlands, would be likely to lead to, 'a protracted discussion about the meanings of words that in the end will produce little clarity'. The letter also noted that people have debated the issue of 'God's existence' throughout time.

Hendrikse gained attention with his book published in November 2007, in which he said that it was not necessary to believe in God's existence in order to believe in 'God'. The Dutch title of the book translates as, 'Believing in a God who does not exist: manifesto of an atheist pastor'.

In his book, Hendrikse recounts how his conviction that God does not exist has become stronger over the years.

'The non-existence of God is for me not an obstacle but a precondition to believing in God. I am an atheist believer,' Hendrikse writes in the book. 'God is for me not a being but a word for what can happen between people. Someone says to you, for example, 'I will not abandon you', and then makes those words come true. It would be perfectly alright to call that [relationship] God.' "

Buddhist Episcopalian Is Nominee for Job of Bishop

An Episcopal priest who has received a Buddhist lay ordination has been nominated for the position of bishop in the Diocese of Northern Michigan. The Rev. Kevin Thew Forrester, who has served in the diocese since 2001, will be the only nominee for the vacant position.

Forrester currently serves as rector of St. Paul's, Marquette, and is the diocese's ministry development coordinator. The bishop's election is scheduled for a special convention to be held February 21 in Escanaba, MI. If elected, Forrester would still have to obtain consents from a majority of dioceses in the Episcopal Church, in what is usually viewed as a rubber-stamp procedure.

Forrester is not the first Episcopal clergyman to hold dual faiths. In 2004, Pennsylvania priest Bill Melnyk was revealed to be a druid; while in 2007 Seattle priest Ann Holmes Redding declared that she was simultaneously an Episcopalian and a Muslim. Both Melnyk and Redding were eventually inhibited from priestly duties. Forrester's background was recently brought to light by the Anglican web site Stand Firm in Faith.(Online Source)

Oregon "Church" Refuses To Sign Marriage Certificates For Heterosexual Couples Until Gay People Have Same Marriage Rights

Apparently the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Ashland, Oregon has forgotten that Jesus Christ has commissioned the Church to go and make disciples by teaching people to observe all that He has commanded (Matt 28:18-20). Making disciples includes teaching people about the sin of homosexuality and God's coming wrath and judgement of people who practice homosexuality (1 Cor. 6:9-11).

It has been reported in the Ashland Daily Tidings:

that the First Congregational United Church of Christ’s Rev. Pam Shepherd, seeing the act of signing marriage licenses for heterosexual couples as a form of discrimination against gays and lesbians, decided that in the name of fairness no licenses should be dignified with the signature of the church’s clergy until all families receive equal treatment under the law.

The article quoted Rev. Shepherd as saying, "I’ve been for civil rights for gay and lesbian people for a long, long time, but I never thought, ’I’m helping the discrimination every time I sign a license.’" (Online Source)

Do you think Jesus behaved in this manner or taught his disciples to do anything even closely resembling this? Of course not, yet there are people who call themselves Christians and churches that claim to be Christian that listen to and follow this man and his teaching.

"I'm Not a Sinner" - Bill Scheer "Pastor" of Guts Church

Guts Church's "Pastor" Bill Scheer, along with being a "prosperity gospel" heretic, also claims that he is not a sinner.

This is a very serious error because the Bible is perfectly clear that anyone who claims he has no sin deceives himself and makes God out to be a liar.

1 John 1:8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say we have not sinned, we make God a liar, and his word is not in us.

It is clear from Scheer's teaching that he is NOT a Christian pastor but is instead a wolf. This fact calls into question all of the so-called conversions that are supposedly taking place at Guts Church's Nightmare because this man does not actually teach Biblical Christianity.

Charles Darwin to Receive Apology from the Church of England for Rejecting Evolution

The Church of England will concede in a statement that it was over-defensive and over-emotional in dismissing Darwin's ideas. It will call "anti-evolutionary fervour" an "indictment" on the Church".

The bold move is certain to dismay sections of the Church that believe in creationism and regard Darwin's views as directly opposed to traditional Christian teaching.

This is what happens when Jesus' humanity is re-worked so that it conforms with our sinfulness while Jesus' divinity is ignored or re-tooled according to our idolatrous notions about how we want god to be. What's left is not an 'ultra christ'. What is left is a weak, pathetic, powerless Jesus instead of the perfectly righteous King of Kings and Lord of Lords who died on the cross to propitiate God's wrath and atone for our sins, the Jesus who sits enthroned at the right hand of God the Father and will come again with glory to judge both the living and the dead.
