Who cares if God commands that “You shall have no other gods before me.” (Exod. 20:2–3) or that Christians are instructed “Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?” (2 Cor. 6:14)? Grand visions of religious unity in Omaha, NE are far more important now a days than what God has commanded in scripture.

L: May the Force be with you.
C: And also with you.
L: And now for a reading from the Gospel of Luke.
The Episcopal Church of the Ascension, had decided that their fall outreach teaching series will draw the parallels between the Christian faith and the pantheistic Buddhist religion presented in the Star Wars movies. Ahem...we seem to remember that scripture states, “what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever?” (2 Corinthians 6:14–15) So why would a Christian church try to syncretize Christianity with a false and idolatrous religion? Answer: Because said "church" doesn't believe teach and confess Biblical Christianity.

In the latest fundraising video put out by Perry Noble and NewSpring "Church" they are literally asking for 10's of millions of dollars and the justification for all this money is their claim that 85% of the residents of South Carolina don't attend church. This is absolutely NOT TRUE!! In fact, the numbers aren't even close.
According to Gallup, 56% of the people in South Carolina attend Church on Sunday's.(Online Source)
Here's NewSpring's latest fundraising video that claims that only 15% of South Carolinians attend church.

Apparently Rick Warren hasn't learned that the scarlet thread of redemption that runs through all of scripture is about Jesus Christ, oh and it was Jesus that taught us this.
“And he said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?” And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.” (Luke 24:25–27)
“You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me, yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life.” (John 5:39–40)
The Apostle Paul, also understood that all of scripture is about Christ and the Cross. Here's what Paul wrote:
“For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.” (1 Corinthians 2:2)
We also find it very telling that Rick Warren has publicly critiqued those faithful pastors who preach Christ and the Cross from every passage of scripture but he hasn't said ONE WORD in criticism of his disciples like Steven Furtick, Perry Noble and others who, Sunday after Sunday, read THEMSELVES into every passage of scripture, including the Gospels. Click Here to hear an egregious example of this from the Code Orange Revival.
After listening to that "revival sermon" read this: “we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake” (2 Corinthians 4:5)

Apparently, "pastor" Miles McPherson believes we all have a lot that we could learn from an unrepentant porn king.
"He's not a Christian, he's living a sinful life in people's eyes and his lifestyle is contrary to the Bible but still, we're obligated to love him," said McPherson. Despite all of these things that Biblically prohibit Ron Jeremy from speaking in Church, McPhereson invited him anyway so that he can "share" some things this Sunday, during church. Do you hate that old time, historic Chrisitanity? No problem! Apparently individual congregations can just invent their own "Christianities" as they see fit. Case and point: Ivyland New Church doesn't like how the historic Christian faith has always been in agreement with what God has revealed in scripture regarding the fact that those who've been brought to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of their sins will spend eternity with Christ while those who persist in sin and unbelief will spend eternity in the Lake of Fire (Rev. 20:14, 21:7-8), soooooo they just made up their own "Christianity". The sign speaks for itself.

These liberal, gay affirming "clergy" may want to consider what scripture says regarding the Eucharist:

A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the body of the Lord eats and drinks judgment on himself.” (1 Corinthians 11:27–29)

Meet the new face of "Christian" music.
Over the weekend it was revealed that members of Insane Clown Posse, known for their brutal, obscene, violent, and in your face lyrics are actually Evangelical Christians and that coded into all of those brutal, obscene, violent and in your face lyrics are subliminal Christian messages.
Isn't that wonderful? Now you can praise the Lord and worship him while singing along to all of the classic ICP songs like Chicken Huntin'. Here's an uncensored version of the song. You legalists out there who might get offended by obscene language may not want to listen. But those of you who are enlightened enough to understand Contextualization can raise your hands and praise Jesus with this newly discovered "Christian Classic". </sarcasm>
Here are the lyrics to this CHRISTIAN SONG so that you can sing along.
(We ARE NOT CENSORING THESE LYRICS. THAT IS INTENTIONAL. We want the gravity of this situation to be seen in all of its starkness. If you are offended by obscene language, like you should be, DON'T READ THE LYRICS.)
Well, I'm heading down a southern trail; I'm going chicken huntin'
Chopping redneck chicken necks I ain't saying nothing
To the hillbilly stuck my barrel in his eye
Boomshacka boomshacka hair chunks in the sky
Why I never liked chicken pot pie?
Or the chopped chicken on rye?
So tell Mr. Billy Bob I'm a cut his neck up
Slice, poke, chop chop, stab, cut
What can you do with the drunken hillbilly
Cut his fucking eyes out and feed em to his Aunt Milly
Willy Willy chicken neck, chicken hunting gotta love it
Hit him with the twelve gauge bucket, chicken nuggets
Laid out all over the grass
Then his little hound dog will eat em up fast
Last as long as you can my man
Cuz when that chicken head hits the fan, you got
Blood guts fingers and toes [3x]
Sittin front row at the chicken show so...
[Chorus (1x)]
Who's going chicken huntin
We's goin' chicken huntin' [3x]
Cut a motherfucking chicken up, right!
[Shaggy 2 Dope]
Let me get a chicken sandwich with manwich
I'm finna wreck on a chicken neck
Chopping up Hilly and Billy Bob Billy
Cuz I chop motherfucking redneck silly
Peeked in his yard and what did I see
I seen a chicken boy fucking a sheep
I say "Mister Mister, what the fuck you trying to do"
??"Ah, Billy Billy Billy Boo"??
Barrels in your mouth, bullets to your head
The back of your neck's all over the shed
Boomshacka boom chop chop bang
I'm 2 Dope and it ain't no thang
To cut a chicken, trigger's clickin
Blow off his head but his feet still kickin
Last as long as you can my man
Cuz when that chicken head hits the fan you got
Blood guts fingers and toes [3x]
Sittin front row at the chicken show so...
[Chorus (1x)]
[Violent J]
Went to Kentucky, I got lucky
Met this hot-collared bitch named Bucky
Riding on a chicken, milking a cow
Hittin switches in a drop top low ride tractor plow
[Shaggy 2 Dope]
Redneck fella, moonshine sella
Hang him by his neckbones, chicken bones

We bet you had no idea that the 80's hairband, Poison was secretly a Christian band. Yep. Thanks to the vision casting skills of Perry Noble, the Purpose-Driven pope of South Carolina, we have learned that Poison's hit song 'Nothin But a Good Time' was secretly a Christian praise song. Perry Noble, after receiving a direct vision from God that revealed this hidden truth, had his church's praise and worship set on August 8th, 2010 open with this long forgotten Christian gem.. Don't worry if you don't know the words to this praise song, the lyrics were provided so that you too can sing along and "worship" with the rest of the church as they sing 'Nothin But a Good Time'.
Note: Maybe the song title 'Nothin But a Good Time' describes what you should expect from Perry's church. Don't expect in-depth sound Biblical preaching. Don't expect an unflinching focus on Christ and Him crucified for our sins. Nope, don't expect 'Nothin But a Good Time'.
“I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.” (2 Timothy 4:1–4)

In these episodes of Sharing the Light Darkness a panel of progressive theologians speculators try to explain how truth changes, god is revealing new truth and because of that we no longer need to try to preserve the Biblical teaching that homosexual sex and lust is a sin. hmmmm...this sounds a lot like the serpent in the garden, "Did God REEEEAAALLY Say?"
“Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.” (1 Corinthians 6:9–11)“Now I want to remind you, although you once fully knew it, that Jesus, who saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe. And the angels who did not stay within their own position of authority, but left their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains under gloomy darkness until the judgment of the great day— just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.” (Jude 1:5–7)

This video features false prophet, Joshua Mills and others parading a simple parlor trick as a miracle when it is anything but an act of God.
Ironically, the Bible does mention gold dust. But, when it mentions gold dust, it is not a blessing or a miracle. Here's what the Bible says:
“Then Moses turned and went down from the mountain with the two tablets of the testimony in his hand, tablets that were written on both sides; on the front and on the back they were written. The tablets were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, engraved on the tablets. When Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said to Moses, “There is a noise of war in the camp.” But he said, “It is not the sound of shouting for victory, or the sound of the cry of defeat, but the sound of singing that I hear.” And as soon as he came near the camp and saw the calf and the dancing, Moses’ anger burned hot, and he threw the tablets out of his hands and broke them at the foot of the mountain. He took the calf that they had made and burned it with fire and ground it to powder and scattered it on the water and made the people of Israel drink it.” (Exodus 32:15–20)

Below is a video of the "worship" segment of the most recent service at Elevation Church. This is the song by Rage Against the Machine entitled Bulls on parade. This song was sung to help kick off Elevation's new sermon series F-Bomb.
To their credit the folks at Elevation tried to clean up the lyrics a bit in an effort to "christianize" them. (The original lyrics to the song are posted below the video for reference) But the question still needs to be asked, what business do these types of songs have being 'performed' in a church service? God's Holy Word and His Holy Bride don't need gutter music and innuendo to make them relevant. In fact, adorning the bride of Christ, with these worldly methods makes her look like nothing more than a cheap whore.
We'd be wise to take a closer look at God's word and really come to grips with what James 4:4 means. It states, "You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God."

Kerry Shook, Purpose-Driven icon, and ringmaster at Fellowship of the Woodlands Church Circus recently sent out an email to the members of his congregation big top that read:
Faith is like a trapeze act: you've got to let go of what you've got in order to take hold of what you have not! To help me illustrate this in my message of faith I've asked the Wallenda-Cortes Team to join us this weekend...This weekend the Flying Wallenda and Cortes family are returning but this time on the trapeze! That's right. We are setting up a flying trapeze at church!
In addition, there will be inflatables for the kids and plenty of food vendors available for the whole family.
Ooooh aaaah. We're sure that this circus performance will be a delight to children of all ages. Too bad Jesus Christ and sound edifying Biblical doctrine taught via an expository Bible sermon didn't make the marquee. But then again you can't expect to grow a church nowadays by preaching Christ and Him Crucified for Our Sins. Yuck who wants to hear about that when you can have a circus at church instead?
