President Elect: Barack (The Messiah) Obama

This is the first time in 40 years that the U.S. has taken a hard turn to the left. It will be interesting to see how Obama governs. But this site is not about politics and political parties.

The issue that the Museum of Idolatry has with this election is that that Obama was exalted to Messiah status. Here is more examples of this creepy form of idolatry.

I have never been as ashamed of my generation as I am today. I suppose it would be one thing if people knew they were/are communists and, being such, that they are anti-American, but it is another when people (especially white people) vote in a man who hates them due to their own color. (If you doubt this read his books, he leaves little room for doubt.) We voted for change when most have no idea what Potentate Obama meant by change; prepare to watch the beginning of the end of the real America. I would suggest reading the short 30 pages or so that compose the manifesto, for the present here is a list of the anti-Americanism for which America apparently voted: 1) The Freedom of Choice Act (unfettered infanticide); 2) A New Constitution (Words from ‘Hiss Superlative’ and friends); 3) Redistribution of the wealth (High taxing begins at house holds making 42k and more. Those are his words from the campaign trail. The genius wants to bog down the middle-class w/ more taxes); 4) to disarm the armed forces (This is like handing a baseball bat to an homicidal maniac who has you in his sights… just before hand-cuffing yourself to a door); 4) He desires to help Muslims accomplish their goals (read his second book ‘The Audacity of Hope’ – A title taken from a sermon from Reverend ‘The Racist’ White. Oh, the true muslim were the ones that attacked us on 9-11, we seem to have forgotten this).

All in all, I personally think this was a step in the right direction: ‘Change’ … or something like that. I hope everyone likes their brand new despot, and happy impoverishment!

Since I see Bush as the Sauron figure, bringing lies, deception, devastation, lawlessness, torture and destruction of infrastructure into the world. In this case I think Obama is more of an Aragorn figure, finally putting an end to the efficacy of the evil foe, untried in leadership but inspiring loyalty and in a real if temporal sense a savior. But maybe these guys don't read Lord of the Rings.

The question is not how the world views Obama, but how he views himself. He appears humbler than "the decider."

Considering that Obama stands for few if any of the standards we as believers should be looking for in a leader.

At no point should we compromise our morals, our standards or our beliefs, this is quite blatantly stated in the New Testament.

Check Romans 1, And 2 Timothy 4:4. We as a nation have fallen into depravity and debauchery. Turning to a leader who please our itching ears and sides with immorality and compromise.

Only the naive and lukewarm can praise obama as a savior, in a real or temporal sense.

I don't worry that I'm mistakenly bashing the second coming of Christ when I talk about the bad things Obama has said and will probably do. Jesus will be coming back in the same manner that He left the earth (Acts 1), and I didn't see Obama coming in on a cloud to make his acceptance speech.

And I see Obama as more of a Saruman figure -- highly intelligent, very ambitious, and willing to play both ends against the middle to achieve his goal.

My view is that The Anti-Christ would explode on the scene with miraculous signs and wonders to do a fake Christ's return. Someone who might claim to be Alexander the Great or from that era.

These kind of things make me think Obama is definitely a false Christ or prophet who could lay the foundation for the Anti-Christ. Obama could very well do for America what Hitler did for Germany. Jews and Christians could be sent off somewhere before too long.

This kind of reminds me of when Michael Jackson released his HIStory collection. The trailer featured Michael leading a giant army down a street while, on the sidewalks, people cried just to be in his presence. The commercial ended with the unveiling of a giant MJ statue.

It reminded me of that scene in ACTS, when the people say that the emperor's voice is the voice of a God. The emperor accepts that praise and God strikes him down.

I'm not sure if Obama had a hand in this messiah-portrayal, but I know I don't like it. I often say that if fetuses were allowed to vote, McCain would have won.

This is what comes of a proof-texting mentality, devoid of the consensus of the Fathers. Do you think the medieval Church prayed FOR the Vikings who were raping and pillaging Europe? No, they prayed 'Dear God, deliver us from the Norsemen.'

Do you think the Greek Orthodox prayed FOR the Turks, who stole their children, castrated their men, made them worship a false god, and raised up Janissaries to act as their corporate goons? NO!

Hi Fr. John. I find your tone a little harsh on me, but I might be wrong, considering that tone is a little hard to transfer in type. Are you telling me that we should not pray for Barack Obama to surrender to Christ? We should not pray for God to reveal Himself to him and save his sin-sick soul? Are you saying that governing authorities are not from God, as Romans said? Unless God allows Mr. Obama to be killed or strikes him down Himself, we're stuck with him until 2012 at least. And how do you know that those afflicted by those pillagers didn't pray for the souls of the men persecuting them, even while praying for deliverance from them. I don't claim to know everything, but it seems to me that praying for Obama's soul is the biblical thing to do -- that he might not forever burn in hell and that the damage that he'll do as our civil authority, which we are commanded to be subject to, will be lessened by a changed heart. Were we not ALL enemies of God before He, in His grace, opened our eyes to the truth?

What amazes me is that most of the post suggest that we pray for Obama's salvation. Well, while we're at it, why don't we pray that "THE" Anti-Christ gets saved as well. Your prayer should be on the protective covering that We Christians need while he is in office. Keep your eyes on the prize. (Which is Jesus Christ our Lord) The economy shouldn't have come into play when you casted your vote for Obama. If that were the case, then rip out(from your bibles) Proverbs 3 :5-6, Phillipians 4:19 and a slew of scriptures supporting God's promise to us as Believers. That's the only thing I hear most people around me saying. Change! You want Change? Well, look out....that's exactly what you will get. This man is ushering in the Spirit of the true Anti-Christ that shall soon come to past. Pray? I don't understand why saying that we need to pray for this man that's about to lead our country is a bad thing. Are we not supposed to? Am I completely missing the context of 1 Timothy 2:1-2? When Paul included "kings," he would have been including Nero, who brutalized Christians, even hanging some up and burning them alive to light his garden. Why not pray that Mr. Obama might be saved and repent and lead this country in a way that honors and glorifies God? And I do happen to have family members that aren't saved, but I don't see what that has to do with praying for the president-elect.

It's interesting to see how this is all going to play out. First of all I'm black. Everyone in African-American community was rejoicing when Obama was elected. Even in church, everyone was praising the name of Obama instead of praising the name of Jesus. The pastor my church (I'm going to start looking for a new church soon) was taking away God's glory in his own house!! Can you say abomination?

How can anyone offer up prayers to the Most High God so that God can put a unrepentant, disobedient man in power? Why because he is black? I dont care if he is green, sin is still sin in God's eyes. Obama glorifies sin and makes relevant to everyone. If anything we should be praying that the Holy Spirit would appear to Obama and convict him of his sinful disobedience and call him repent of his sin.

I felt a strange chill come over my body when he was announced to be the 44th president of the United States. I said to myself the kingdom of God is at hand. Anytime when believers start to rejoice in when a sinful man is elected, we have a big problem on our hands. Believers this is a time of self-examination. If there is any type of sin in your life, I pray that you get rid of it and turn to Jesus who can cleanse you from sin. If there is anything that you haven't surrendered to Christ I pray that you do so right now. We ( the body of Christ) want to be prisent white before out bridegroom (Jesus).
