My kids like this show, and I don't have a problem with it. But why make a bible-zine out of it? Just encourage the kids to read their bibles, like he does on the show.

shouldn't that be since BEFORE creation

Wait a minute! Did I read this right?

"Gross, Gory, God"

Nah, that couldn't be what it says.

The only thing more silly than the idea is the terrible execution of the show.

gasp! It DOES say, GROSS, GORY...ooooooh....someone's gonna get iiittt!!!

Isn't that Buddy from Charles in Charge - or did I see some sort of spoof that he was s'posed to be Bibleman?

One more time, the famed curator attacks a childrens product intended as an alternative for secular entertainment. Lacking in valid idolotry these days?

Yes it is Buddy from Charles in Charge

I want Charles in Charge of me....

or Eight is Enough....

or BIBLE MAN!!

Nahhhh, seriously Christy said it best. Bibleman isn't so bad. But why don't we just encourage kids to read their KJV?

Just like football isn't so bad.... just don't compare it with the Bible to get people to come to your circus.... er, I mean, your church!

you are out of line on this one. plain and simple. Which often seems to happen when people set themselves up as judge jury and executioner for every single christian activity.

This is a "museum of idolatry". Yet there is no idolatry here. This has been a good show for kids and it gets them reading the bible. It also is a great outreach for the unsaved.

I am hardly a liberal christian. I am a staunch defender of the Faith all over the internet. Im telling you this is out of line. if i were you i would remember this verse. Mat 7:2 "For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again."

standing for the Faith is good just make sure you are not tearing down fellow believers and works that God is blessing for His Glory and Kingdom

why do kids need to read a verion of the bible written in english comon 400 years ago? there are several modern translations that are very good.

Is it out of line to condemn these methods?
Did Christ use these in His message?
If Noah had a Biblezine could he have brought more people in the ark?
Could Sodom have been saved if the two angels gave out Biblezines?
Would the two wicked sons of Eli have read the Word of God more if they grew up with Biblezines?
Answers to all the above= NO!
Prov17:15 "He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are an abomination to the Lord"
Ps1:1 "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the cuonsel of the ungodly..."
To go along with the wrong crowd, is just as bad ascondemning the right one. So, are these Gods ways? No. These are ungodly ways, and we are not to walk in them.

Pastor Harold.

I appreciate your Zeal, however your points simply are off base. Jesus used many methods to reach his people. Parables, miracles, teachings., loving and caring. He used stories and examples taken directly from their culture/ Do you think He only ministers to gentiles today based solely on Jewish styles? You might want to take a closer look at the book of Acts. The truth is He uses many methods to reach people today. Some of the methods we have today were not available before our time. The methods used to reach people and get them into the word do not take away from the word itself.

Did you consider that perhaps if Eli had spent more time getting His sons excited about the living God and desirous to serve Him faithfully they might not have perished? I suggest to you that perhaps they could have used a Biblezene when they were young.

Do you also condemn the various devotional booklets used in many fundamental churches?

You are a Pharisee and you cant even see it. You are calling the Bibleman show "wicked" and of course then I am now wicked also for calling you out on the carpet for your unjust legalism and shortsightedness.

I guess we will find out one day when all of us stand before the lord, who has and has not accomplished his work. I wonder how many strong believers and faithful young men and women will be in heaven because of the ministry and outreach of Bibleman. I wonder how your works will compare? I wonder who has turned more away from Christ? Bibleman? or people who are nothing more than modern day Pharisees who swallow a camel to avoid a gnat.

This site stands for many good things but it loses credibility and becomes ineffective when you impose your personal or denominational legalism on everyone else. The message is very specific and clearly defined in scripture. The methods are not. There are examples in scripture and I bet you have personally read right over some of them and missed the point of what was going on completely.

Lets put it to the test. My parents shlocked this kind of garbage on me when I was a kid. I dropped out of church when I hit 18. Stuff like this maybe be cool when your 6 for a about 2 weeks, but then it fuels a lifetime of total contempt for all things church, the minute you realize how lame it is.
I like to hear one adult testimonial in 20 years that doesn't say that Bibleman almost turned them off "organized religion" for good.

In high school, when we used to build miniature medieval torture engines for Barney dolls, I'm sure we would have had a place for Bibleman.

Stop tying to God to this ridiculous pop tripe, you soil God's reputation. Where is our fear of the Lord. Does Bibleman help us tremble at His presence? Does Bibleman leave us in awe of the Holiness the God?

I went to Acts and read a bit (after Ch7 to be away from the Jewish evangelism)
Acts 8:28-38 tells of an Ethiopian who couldn't understand th book of Isaiah,so God sent Phillip to him.
Acts 9:1-9 a 'Pharisee' was on his way to punish christians, when Jesus himself came and cleared up his theology.
Acts 10:1-8 a Roman named Cornelius was told in a vision to send for Peter in Joppa to answer his prayers.
Acts 16 gives the birth of the church at Philippi. Paul was sent there by a vision of a man saying "Come over into Macedonia, and help us"
My point being God has taught all who truly seek learning. I am 33 yrs old and a Southern Baptist, all my life the Word of God has been dumbed down to a 3rd grade level. Look at the mass exodus of my age group in my own denomination. This does not work!(with many tears)
Acts 2:47"...and the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved." He has always done it this way and he always will. Let be honest with people, trust me they can grasp it.

pastorharold

Great answers! Keep up the good work! Don't let anyone discourage you! People who play the Pharisee card (not to mention being extremely rude) just don't get it. They don't understand the extreme heartbreak of seeing a whole denomination being crippled by Satan in the name of "relevance."
My family and I were Southern Baptist all our lives until Rick Warren's heresy invaded our church. A little over 2 years ago we left it. I can relate to your words about "many tears." We couldn't stand the way Southern Baptists have lost (among many other things) their identity. Most Baptist churches around here have changed their names to "________(fill in the blank with whatever *relevant* word-of-the-week you want) Fellowship." I have even heard that the word "Fellowship" in a church's name is now passe'! We are now Presbyterian and hear the word of the Lord every Sunday in our very small church, singing the great hymns of faith with the pipe organ and looking at the beauiful Tiffany stained glass windows. It's different from the world, and THANK THE LORD IT IS! I've heard more God-breathed preaching in the past two years than from about 10 years in the Baptist church. I grieve for Southern Baptists because in reality most of them have gone. By what you have written, you might be one of the last hold-outs and it sounds like you won't go over to the dark side. God bless you and your ministry for many years to come!

I'm a Southern Baptist too, and I do hear the Word of God every Sunday. Does this bible-zine "dumb down" the Word, or is it truly a complete New Testament, as it claims? If it doesn't "dumb down", then it's no more harmful than anything that comments on scripture. The way I see it, on the show, Bibleman encourages kids to read their bibles and memorize scripture. So why have a bible-zine? The product seems kinda pointless.

Have I been moderated ? That would be Bad. oh well.
Bibleman.
I've seen it. I thought it was a joke.
I'm Disenchanted with posting on this website. it feels unchristian. Peace out.

Well I guess now 2 Corinthians 10:4 should be reprased, " For the weapns of your warfare are NOW carnal, and mighty through Bibleman to the pulling dowm of strong holds."
