"Christian" Pornography?
The church's slide into complete apostasy continues unabated. The latest evidence of this comes from a website that is proposing "Christian" pornography (warning: explicit content). Here is their proposed framework for "Christian" porn.
• It must depict only married couples engaging in sexual acts.
• It must portray sex within the context of a Christian marriage.
• It must be instructional.
• Husband and wife must both receive their due benevolence. (This means that both sex partners must be shown getting equal pleasure and sexual attention from one another)
• No extramarital sex, unless it is to illustrate the downfalls of adultery.
• It must be uplifting and inspirational, focusing on strengthening Christian marriage and Christian faith.
• No profanity.
So basically as long as we're looking at instructional pornography the depicts "Christian" married couples having sex then we should embrace this as edifying and blessed of God.


No extramarital sex unless it is to illustrate the downfalls of adultery? How amusing! How thoroughly ridiculous! Participating in this act is already adulterous enough.

I'm not convinced that the website is anything other than a clever attack on Christianity. Yes, I know that many churches have compromised themselves in the extreme but this reminds me of a website that parodied Baptist churches. The person producing the material had obviously been exposed to church life. The website was actually rather amusing in its early days but became more and more extreme as time went on to the point of being offensive. Eventually I learned the website was operated by a homosexual.

Ok, I can't say I wasn't expecting this, but it is still shocking just the same. It shouldn't be I guess since it seems that putting a "christian" label on something no matter what it is and thus making it then acceptable in the church seems to be the thing these days.

I remember the satire show "Night Stand" from the 90s, which spoofed the ridiculous exploitation taking place on shows like Donahue and Jerry Springer (and sinking to it's own lows). One episode featured a woman who had been rescued from the pornography industry and now made a living doing "christian" porn. I never thought it would be anything more than an over-the-top joke.

I don't think that site is a joke at all. I think that whoever put that thing together meant every word that he wrote. That person is sick and twisted and twists God's word. But I think it is real.

I have dealt with the consequences of a porn addiction. Porn addiction is rampant, even in the church. All this is going to do is provide an acceptable way to feed that addiction, despite whatever disclaimers they want to put on their site.

I'm fairly certain that this is a hoax site. It made the rounds on Fark.com, Digg.com, etc. a few years back.
Kind of like bonsai kitten, genpets, and some other sites. They're cleverly engineered to create moral outrage.

I wouldn't take this too seriously - it seems to be a parody to me. A very well-done parody, but no more than that. A closer look will reveal that this site advocates oral and anal sex as alternatives to premarital vaginal intercourse, offers guidelines for Christian threesomes, and portrays Jesus as sex coach to the woman at the well. Articles are sprinkled throughout with bits of scripture, cleverly removed from context to comic effect. (I won't use any actual examples because I don't want to discolor these verses in your mind forever, but imagine how a verse reading "God looks with favor on upstanding men" would sound in an article on Viagra.)
I find it hard to believe that anyone who writes so well and knows how to USE Scripture quotes in context (for whatever purpose) can't UNDERSTAND them in context and hasn't been exposed to those verses that undermine the very concept of "Christian" pornography, threesomes, or premarital sexual activity. I've seen some of the kooky sites out there, and most of them are as confusing to read as they must have been to write - the ramblings of a very bewildered mind. The very fact that this looks so good on the surface is exactly what makes me think it must be a parody. If it weren't, there would most likely be a real homepage (there isn't; all the pages just link back to one of the "information" pages) and SOME sort of acknowledgement that these views were based on an unconventional interpretation of the scriptures or otherwise out of the norm. Experience and instinct tell me this is an ingenious parody, and I'm sorry someone with the intelligence, writing ability, cleverness, and knowledge of scripture to carry this off can't find something better to do with his (or her) time.

Whether this is a joke or an otherwise disgusting attempt to juxtapose Christ and Satan will make no difference in the long run. I know how that sounds, but here are some verses that solidify my point…I hope:

There is no way that this web site is serious. There's an article on "Fisting in Christ" for crying out loud. I can believe that some Christians are apostate, but to be apostate AND totally absurd AND have the web skills to put up a site all at the same time sounds like a spoof to me.
Then again, I wouldn't be surprised if I ended up being wrong.

My point exactly, Robert. . . . No one could be this misguided and still pretend, as this site does, to be keeping within the realm of Biblical teachings. There are plenty of professing Christians who claim that anything goes as long as all involved are consenting adults. That's misguided. This isn't just ignoring Biblical teachings, this is perverting Biblical teachings.
Assuming Mike, Josh, Robert, and I are correct and this is a parody, I don't think any of us are saying that makes it less disgusting. (Actually, it's more frightening, being as cleverly done as it is and so easy to mistake for genuine advice; I'd hate to think an undiscerning Christian preteen looking for solid information on how to handle his or her emerging sexuality might go online looking for a Christian site and stumble across this.) All it means is that this can be lumped solidly in the category of "worldly mocking filth" instead of "apostate Christian filth."

This is nothng more than a hoax; along the same lines as the Landover Baptist Church site. It was clearly put up by someone who just wants to see who will fall for it so they can have a good laugh at the "dumb christians" who believe everything they read.

Well, considering how the church is filled with sex sermons and such this is not impossible to believe(I mean look at some of teh sections on this site!). There are groups that advocate all kinds of things with "christianity" labelled on them to justify what they do. Like the "nudist" church and the one that advocates wife swapping (they justify it by claiming your not "having" the other spouse, just "borrowing" them for a short time. So it is not impossible to believe that someone would do porn like that.

I've been to that website and it advocates such things as BDSM and masturbation.
Perhaps we need to get back to what the Bible actually teaches about sex: no sex before marriage and that the sexually immoral won't inherit the kingdom of God and that He can use it if there's a purpose for it: He ordered Isaiah to be naked for 3 years as a sign against the Egyptians and Ethiopians for trusting in Assyria and he ordered Hosea to marry a prostitute to symbolize Israels' commiting spiritual adultery.
As for Isaiah being naked, there are Christians who try to dilute that by saying that Isaiah was wearing a captives' garb, a loincloth, or the outer garment that kings and prophets wore, but the Hebrew word for naked means absolute nakedness and if you'll read it in context, you'll discover that the Egyptians and Ethiopians were lead away naked and with their bare bottoms exposed.

I'm ALL with ya there, my man. In fact, in making that comment, I violated one of my own personal rules which is that I will never, ever again, doubt the ability of depraved and fallen man to conceive of new wickeness. I made that promise to my wife in 1994-ish when she called me on the phone to tell me that there was actually this new abortion technique called "partial birth abortion". After hearing about it, I assured my wife that it was all surely just a hoax. Imagine my suprise (disgust?). After that, I decided that nothing would ever suprise me anymore about man's wickedness.
I'm pretty sure I remember reading a verse in the Bible where God himself was "suprised" that man thought up ways to sin that even HE hadn't thought of. I'm sure, by that, that He didn't mean it literally (I usre hope not), but He was making a point that man's propensity for wickedness is boundless.

Yes, this is definately a hoax designed to mock us. But the scary thing is, how many stupid Christians will see this and believe it? Add to that listening to twisted preachers doing their "sex" sermons (that's all the rage now, or haven't you noticed?). It illustrates a point of how the slipshod handling of the Bible by pulpit-pervs has leaked out and struck a chord with unbelievers and mockers of Christ and God. What better text to use than Song of Songs? This one has been on the butcher block for a long time.
I think I am going to scream if I hear one more person refer to the Song of Solomon as an erotic book. Every time this is mentioned it is usually done to prove how "hip" God is and that he invented sex and sex isn't dirty. OK, I agree that sex isn't dirty and that God created it (for a man and a women) and it a wondeful thing. But in order for it to be such a "hot" book you have to take a lot of liberties with the text. If you look at what the pervs did who put up this Christian porn page, it isn't a stretch at all to see how they got "fisting" out of it.
I once heard a Calvary Chapel pastor state that any kind of sex between a man and a women is OK unless it is the kind that the homosexuals do and of course, they'd have to be married. Huh? I guess he said that to avoid having to go into details. But what is the Biblical text to support this? I heard a Mars Hill pastor declare: "Have you read the Song of Songs, it's hot, it's got everything in there, oral...everything." Everything? You don't say? Just what do you mean by everything? Uh, fisting, how about a little bondage too (of course, between married Christians, don't ya know)? So, is it suprising that it has gotten to this point to even justify Christian porn? What about holiness and purity? Why are we becoming so much like the world that we have to be in a continual state or horniness andd then turn around and say: "See, God says so!". Isn't that blasphemy, or does that matter any more? I guess fearing God isn't "relevant". What about a little self-control instead of gratifying the flesh (in relevant-speak: keep it in your pants for a while)?
This isn't a little leaven, this is rot from the top, down and God didn't have anything to do with it. As believers, we have got to stand up to false teachers and kick the bumbs out. I am really angered by this. Brothers and sisters, examine what your church is teaching, pray for the Church and hold your leaders responsible! This means we all have to be well-grounded in the Word. The longer it is tolerated, the more you will see things like this sicko post pop up.

It has been suggested that it was a parody but there have not been any evidence of that. We do not know if the person who is writing this website is a Christian (I say that loosely) or someone who just want to attack Christianity. So, people are voicing their opinions about it.
At this point, all I can say is pray, because this is going to cause a lot of people to sin. Honestly, I don't know whether to cry or sigh, this is getting ridiculous.

FYI: In my first post I mentioned a website that parodied Baptist churches. When Kirby mentioned the Landover Baptist Church website it rang a bell. That was the site that I was thinking of. Revisiting the website revealed that it was just a blasphemous and silly as I remember. It's almost certain that the website is authored by Paul Bradley because a search of Amazon.com will turn up a book about Betty Bowers, a character on the website, by Bradley. If Bradley is indeed the Landover author, and judging from the "sophisticated" silliness on Sex in Christ, it would not surprise me if he was also its author. The level of hate and blasphemy expressed by the author of Landover is hard to duplicate.
My advice is to not let unbelievers that resort to this kind of foolishness get under your skin because that is their purpose.

To KS: That was an excellent post. I'm reminded of the controversy when Mark Driscoll incorrectly read the Song of Solomon as what you can and can't do in a marriage. Of course, the deep spiritual truth was forgotten and he focused on the sex.
Many churches are taking their first step on the slippery slope with regards to sex, it is only a matter of time before they start talking like this site, which, although I think is a hoax, the scary thing is that in a few more years, it would fit in with the average church in America.
That freaks me out.

When you go to the link, it actually gets worse: Articles promoting anal sex, fisting, etc. etc. This is got to be the worst example of apostasy in terms of sexual practice that I have seen promoted by a so-called Christian organization. God help us!

I sent this to the Way of the Master radio website about two weeks ago. I found the site when I was doing research on pornography for a paper on addictions for one of my Seminary classes. I was disgusted, but not surprised, by what I found on the website. The portion you have on here is just one of about 6-8 articles. The others are worse.
