False Miracles by False Prophets!

For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. - Matthew 24:24

The so-called ministry Extreme Prophetic is an example of the next generation of false signs and false wonders type "ministries".

The video below clearly shows the absurd and cheap 'magic tricks' these people are engaging in to deceive the gullible and separate them from their money. Patricia King and Joshua Mills are false prophets and we will not retract that statement. It is clear from their teaching and their false signs and false wonders that they are heretics and the spirit by which they operate is NOT the Holy Spirit.

Col. 2:8   See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ.

Col. 2:18 Let no one disqualify you, insisting on asceticism and worship of angels, going on in detail about visions, puffed up without reason by his sensuous mind, 19 and not holding fast to the Head, from whom the whole body, nourished and knit together through its joints and ligaments, grows with a growth that is from God.

What is that she says at the end where she goes, "Whoa...Whoa"? Is it "I'm getting a download right now"? Is that how she receives her "prophecies"? By "heavenly downloads"?

Many will be deceived.

It is sad to see how easily people are deceived. While these are cheap slight of hand tricks, there will be a time when signs and wonders will be done by the workers of Satan to deceive the world.

Revelation 16:14
14For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

2 Thessalonians 2:9
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

Signs and wonders are not the evidence of God's hand. The Bible clearly warns that we should not believe every spirit but to test all things. The scripture confirms who is of God and who is not. If we could just convince Christians to study to show themselves approved and rightly divide the word, these manipulators would have no power to deceive.

Matthew 24:24-25
24For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
25Behold, I have told you before.

The elect cannot be deceived because they hold to the word of God and are not manipulated away from the truth by great signs and wonders. Jesus told us before hand - so why does the church not take heed?

I can get a pound of blue and silver glitter at Walmart for less than $5. I've seen illusionists do tricks like the thing with the oil. All the rest she told us about, figuring we'd take her word for it. These "signs" don't make me "glad, sad, or mad." They make me cautious, since Jesus warns us about this in Matthew 24, as posted by Eddie.

Interesting that she talks about "feeling an open portal" that angels came through into her home. The only times I have heard reference of these types of "portals" was with new agers/occultists trying to summon demons and also in relation to demonic forces accessing this world...

What a bunch of guppies (people that believe that stuff)! Sad, sad, sad.

Mrs. Jake,

Your question was going to be my first question too. God gave me ESP! It's a miracle! When am I going to get the diamonds? I can do without the glitter and the snake oil that smelled like wine. Hmmmmmm....?
The portal thing is scary. If she's telling the truth, she should be very afraid because as others have said, things that are paranormal are not of God.
These things are not miracles, they're mackerels.

You know, normally I am rather reserved about making judgments about people--preferring instead to make judgments about ideas and teachings. I'm going to make an exception in this case: These people are high.

There is absolutely nothing biblical about what this woman is saying. This is the beyond absurd. What is scary is that there are gullible people who will believe this nonsense.

This makes me weep for the crucified Christ. This is not what his sacrifice was about, this is not why he went to calvary, this has nothing to do with anything. God have mercy...

jerry

Just wanted to add to my previous post:
She also mentioned that the guy that stayed in her home "opened the portal" for the angels to come through. Since when does God need men to "open portals" for angels? As I stated above, the only time I have heard these types of practices are in relation to new age/occultists/satanists who were trying to summon demons...

Goes to show you what you can do with Goldbonds medicated powder.

I was Listening to I pledge allegiance to the lamb by Ray Boltz which is a song about the martyrs. I couldn't help but thinking that some where John Huss and Tyndall are rolling over in there graves but as R.A. Torey said the darker the world becomes the lighter my heart becomes. Even so come Lord Jesus Christ.

Ah - Extreme Prophetic. Those guys are associated with another dodgy lot, the NAR (New Apostolic Reformation) with the likes of C Peter Wagner and IHOP. They are often to be seen on the God TV Channel.

Flaky and kooky.

My dear skeptical and cessationist friends, I beseech you to use caution and discretion when judging these "false" signs and wonders. You cannot quote Matthew 24:24 and then accuse Latter-Rain teachers like Patricia King and Joshua Mills of using "glitter from Wal-Mart" to deceive their followers using "sleight of hand." There are two problems with this:

1) If you were to know some folks, as I do, that are involved in this movement, you will realize most of them are not "fakers" but are sincere, genuine, honest, God-loving people (who are sincerely deceived that what they are experiencing is from God). To blanket all of them as being deceivers is not only passing unbiblical judgment, but also serves to strengthen their own "strong delusion" when they "suffer persecution" from the "weaker brethren" (that's how they perceive us);

2) Much (not all) of what is now being "manifested" at these neo-prophetic meetings is NOT a cheap stage trick. I also once thought such reports were primarily the result of clever illusion, but after several years' of ongoing research into these "second generation" signs and wonders (and getting "uninvited" from teaching at a former church due to the pastor's unwillingness to publish the truth), I'm convinced that much of what is now being "released" in many of these neo-prophetic meetings is the work of deceiving spirits, under the guise of what they call the "manifest presence of God." Leaders in this movement "seem to know" the gospel, but at the root of many of their "miracles" is a counterfeit Spirit that is building an ecumenical church of Antichrist based on the sensational and experiential (Matthew 7:20-23).

This is disturbing, but not at all surprising, when you consider that similar "signs" have been happening for centuries under Catholicism and other cults: (tears, oil, gold dust, etc.). Some have been faked, to be sure; others have been unexplained, including "genuine" miracles of healings at various Marian shrines, for example (not Benny-Hinn style, psychosomatic and/or staged "healings"). So, I simply encourage my concerned brothers and sisters in Christ to excercise biblical discernment in love, realizing that genuine believers (not just followers of Oprah and "The Secret") can and are being deceived by an "angel of light," which is no laughing matter to be mocked and ridiculed. Instead, we would do well to follow the Apostle Paul's example: "Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears" (Acts 20:31).

For those of you who research, the roots of the Kingdom-Now movement of which Patricia King is a part, go back to the Latter Rain heresy and other influences of the mid-19th century (but of course extend back to the Garden). One of Patricia King's friends and co-ministers in the Neo-Apostolic and Neo-Prophetic movement, Todd Bentley, claims he "heals" using the same angel as William Branham (a misogynist and pyramidologist) which Branham acknowledged was NOT the Holy Spirit, and that he could not heal "unless his angel shows up."

Increasingly, unholy spirits are indeed appearing thru "portals" at these meetings (as they have been to New Age cultists for decades, as well as to Mohammed, Joseph Smith, Ellen G. White, William Branham, and to pagans in every tribe and culture for millenniums before that). Discerning believers recognize that the messages and manifestations of these spirits parallels the teachings and types of experiences being communicated to and through the New Spirituality movement. To believe that these deceiving spirits (2 Corinthians 11:13-15) only actually appear (in visions, trances, etc.) to non-believers in "cults" is a lie as equally devastating as the messages these deceiving spirits convey.

If only those outside the church could be deceived, why would our Lord warn us repeatedly, "take heed that no one deceive you" and that "many shall come in my name...and deceive many." While Jesus certainly knew some would deceive with "glitter from Wal-Mart," I think he was speaking of something a little more convincing than mere trickery. Which is all the more reason to "prove all things," pray, study, watch, evangelize, disciple, and above all, to look up.

So, several questions come to mind. Do they scoop this stuff up and have it tested? I mean is it supposedly real? or plastic glitter?
Are they cashing it in to pay off their motorcycle or mcmansion/church debt? Are they cashing it in to feed the poor?
Is this stuff actually helping anyone? Healing anyone?
Do these people even CLAIM to have scriptural precedent for this 'manisfestation'?

I remember Brother Hagin, God rest him, talking many YEARS ago about a 'feather lady' who had white feathers appear in the air as she was preaching. It turned out to be a carnival trick. He said that kind of stuff comes around every few years and if you live long enough you'll see it come around again. Watch it like a parade. Here it comes, there it goes.

Foolishness...when men and women are perishing and suffering, these folks are playing with glitter and crisco.

Well, brother Hagin was just as guilty as anyone who has ever walked of promoting this sort of foolishness. Funny how he mocked the "feather lady" while promoting folks rolling on the floor in "Holy Laughter" and barking like dogs. Not to mention the fact that on a good week he saw and spoke to Jesus face to face more than I see my own wife.

Ah, the advantages of graduating from Rhema.......you can't get a closer view of flim-flammery anywhere.

All I can say is...,"sad, sad, sad...," "If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or the wonder comes true, concerning which he spoke to you, saying, let us go after other gods (whom you have not known) and let us serve them,'you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams; for the LORD your God is testing you to find out if you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul" - Deut 13:1-3

I agree that we must exercise discernment when it comes to signs and wonders----so....how do we know when signs and wonders are really from God? I confess my ignorance in this area. I do not want to dismiss real miracles and signs and wonders. Jesus said we would do greater works than his, and there is also the Scripture about signs accompanying believers.

I would recommend Andrew Strom's article at www.RevivalSchool.com where he speaks of the prophetic movement and why he left it. Ravenhill would say,

"Who was the greatest man born of woman? John the Baptist, yet John did no miracles. Hmmm..."

Ravenhill spot on as usual.

Not only is this showing how far people are falling from the Bible but it shows how so many are being led astray!!! We need to fall on our knees & pray for our unsaved friends & family!!!!

All I know is that if I were witness to authentic signs and wonders such as we saw here, I would be in ecstatic, speechless, heartpounding breathtaking awe of God and in wonder for days on end of what it all means. It would literally throw me to the floor!

In the video, Patricia King is seen sitting next to glitter laden Mills laughing and chatting as she nonchalantly chows down whatever fingerfood she had served herself on a paper plate.

'Ho hum. Just another supernatural miracle from Heaven. Pass the chip-dip, please.'

"I agree that we must exercise discernment when it comes to signs and wonders----so....how do we know when signs and wonders are really from God? I confess my ignorance in this area. Simple, all of the signs and wonders Jesus performed confirmed who he was. All the signs and wonders the apostles performed testified who Jesus was and confirmed their gospel.

All the false signs happening at these meetings aren't confirming the gospel or Jesus Christ, because the gospel isn't being preached.

Call me mean and rude, but I would like to suggest that these people try crack light...it has the same punch and but half the calories!

I agree that it could well be a true phenomenon that is deceiving those people. In Brazil a very biblical church went wrong when the pastor started seeing angels at the door of the church. Some of the members then 'received' a book from an angel and it is said it has so much power that if someone touches it receives an electrical discharge. This book has now all but substituted the Bible for this church. The pastor actually threw the Bible down the pew saying that they didn't need it any longer. Heresy now is rampant there, I personally know people who left because of the way things went. This church is growing a lot and spreading in other countries.
Other thing we should look at is the messages 'Mary' has been sending to the world. If you look at the real message she is giving, it is always to do with a global peace, fraternity never minding doctrine, and also exalting herself above Jesus. It is obvious to the discerning Christian that 'Mary' is a spirit. I read a book full of those messages and this spirit also says that we should follow Edgar Caice!!!!!
I met a group of catholic leaders in a plane last year, they were coming back from Fatima and they were talking about the messages 'Mary' is giving everywhere, the messages are very much the same and not biblical at all. One of the leaders said to me that we evangelicals do not want Buddists or Islamics to
enter in Heaven, they could not understand that there is no way this message of globalazation is from God, that there is only ONE way, JESUS.

I was going to look thru my bible to find the passage "he will shower you with glitter", but i am so busy with my "bonanza" bible study it will have to wait.

P.S. i would not be anointing myself with that man's hand sweat, gross!

This all has root in the 'river' movement via a woman by the name of Sylvania Machado, who was supposedly healed of liver cancer and began manifesting 'gold dust' coming out of her. In fact, according to a couple of discernment webpages, the Toronto Fellowship cancelled the rest of a series of meetings after seeing this manifest in the first meeting, taking gold samples specks, and had it analyzed by an University of Toronto geochemist who stated that the specks contained not gold, but a kind of glittery plastic film.

In response to Daughters post.

I am impressed to find your thoughtful and insightful post!

Thanks!

POL

"you could see it tangibly"

Um... yup sure.

Mark Dinsmore -- give me a break.

A wicked and perverse generation seeks after a sign.

My sister and her friend kept sending me these ridiculous email stories of Gold dust and gold teeth. (sorry why is a gold tooth more precious/valuable than a real tooth?) and I finally wrote back that we found a gold tooth in the P-trap of our bathroom drain, does that count? They never wrote back to me again about that silliness.

But of course, they still follow every stupid fad that comes along pretending to be Christ.

Sad thing is, people will worship any spirit that gives them a sign, whether true or false. The antiChrist WILL perform many true signs and wonders but that does not mean they are of God. If the message is false (and in this word faith movement, it IS FALSE) it does not matter whether the signs are authentic or not. Satan can duplicate lots of miraculous occurrences.

When looking at the posts, this sentence (referring to the lady's reaction to the "miracle") stood out and really struck home as how they look at their God and his miracles.

'Ho hum. Just another supernatural miracle from Heaven. Pass the chip-dip, please.'

Very insightful Paul Latour.

Poster named Eddie, i just wanted to say, Well done on your comment. duane

I definitely agree with Paul Latour's comment. I was wondering the same - How could you just sit there and snack after this 'supposed' miracle of God? I'd be on the floor prostrate and weeping somewhere! NOT eating chips and dip!

My thing is this. The Lord is MORE concerned about His glory than ANYTHING ELSE. What glory does God get out of glitter, oil, diamonds, etc. The greatest gift He has given man is salvation. A diamond pales in comparison!

I pray for those who are being deceived by this horrible lie!

Grace and peace,
Jenn

I have watched the video and feel that it is very important to give an honest response:

Wow… I’m…Ummm… amazed… yeah.

Oil that smells like wine? I’m going to guess -- now, please mind that this is my uneducated deduction – that it was plain oil, or, possibly, wine scented oil.
And flecks of diamond and sapphire? Again, I have only my uneducated hypothesis, but I’d venture to say they purchased a glitter stick for $3 at a craft store; then again, maybe I’m wrong.

I was watching this woman one night on the Miracle Channel here in Canada. She "prophesied" over a man on the street and told him God had a special plan for him. Interestingly enough, she never shared the Gospel with him, what he needed to hear most.

As for the stuff on the video posted here, it is insanity, not Christianity.

"When I saw that sapphire, I just wanted to worship God because He is so amazing."

The infinite creator of the universe compresses Himself into human form? Boring. God dies to save sinful humans? Meh. God writes a book in comprehendable language? Whatever. God sprinkled some glitter dust on a Matthew Broderick doppleganger? Wow! God is flippin' amazing! Not amazing enough for me to put down my Pringles and onion dip and bow to Him or something, but still, wow! Let me scrape some of that confetti onto something, like a piece of paper or a jacket or that book that God wrote or a strip of Scotch tape; anything to hold this glorious divine glitter!

Give me a break. The Bible is enough.

Well I am going to defend both Patricia King and Joshua Mills.

There are tests for prophecies and no one is even pretending to be applying them.

Jesus said you will do greater work, now was he lying?

I have been to both of their meetings and I think that they are both sincere.

I think they are sticking closer to the word of god than what dispensationalists are doing.

When a pharmacist accidentally gives a patient the wrong medicine, does the fact that she sincerely thought she was giving them the right medicine prevent that person from dying? Sincerity is nice, but truth is more important, especially on matters of eternity.

Very well, Dawkinswatch:

http://www.extremeprophetic.com/archivesitem.php?art=412&c=0&id=11&style=

In reference to the "2006 is the year of death, and 2007 is the year of life," please see: http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0004395.html

Apparently, per 1,000 people in the selected countries, the rates remained fairly constant--although it appears that birth rates went DOWN in 2007.

Furthermore, the "prophet" in question said that July 7 of last year would be an historic day in Christianity--but if you scroll down on the following page to July 7, you'll see that there were only two events which might be counted as "significant" to a very loose definition of Christianity: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/July_2007

Those events would be that Benedict XVI lifted the restrictions on celebrating the Catholic Mass in Latin, and that Live Earth concert getting started. I wouldn't say these were "monumental."

The "prophecy" specifies that, in 2007, American Indians will suddenly rise up and become Christians. The only news I recall about an uprising was toward the end of the year, when a tribe was threatening to interfere with the property rights of legitimate landowners unless some demand or other was met.

...Satisfied? This was a false prophecy in many ways.

Dear dawkinswatch,

You are trying to defend the indefensible.

Jesus was not lying when He said: "Truly, truly, I say to you, He that believes on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go to my Father." John 14:12

The "greater works" to which Jesus referred had nothing to do with glitter dust and other such foolishness but with God allowing us to participate in His work of redeeming souls for the kingdom.

As far as dispensations are concerned, we all believe in them to one degree or another. The Word of God makes plenty of them.

Dear fellow believer, I encourage you to cling to the Word in these perilous days and to look only to the Bible for divine guidance.

Dawkins Watch:
You are truly deluded if you think that these people are of the
Lord. They are fakirs and you are falling for it. Is your
Bible knowledge that shallow that you fall for glitter and
oil! Shame on you.
These fakirs are deluded and they prey upon the delusions of
people who want an "itching ear" experience.
Angels appearing as angels of light (Satan's messengers) are
doing their assigned tasks of delusion. You need to read the
Word and God and get some level of discernment and quit being
carried to and fro by any nonsense that is introduced by someone who says "Jesus" and you let down your guard.
Again, these fakirs are not of the Lord. Test the spirit by the
Spirit.
If Paul the Apostle was present he would rebuke them for their
sham. Do likewise.

Dear "Give me a break,"

As one reader astutely pointed out (as in the instance of Sylvania Machado), there have been (and no doubt, continue to be) many fakes and frauds in certain charismatic circles. But using ridicule and condescension (as is all too popular and easy to do in blogs) to "rebuke" those brothers and sisters who are victims of deception raises several concerns:

1) your speech is not seasoned with grace (Col 4:5-6), nor is it edifying to the body (Eph 4:29). Considering the principle of rebuking heresy and restoring a brother or sister, you are out of order: "Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted" (Gal 6:1).

Again, responding in pride and immaturity to false teaching does a disservice to the discernment community, and only serves to add fuel to the fire for those deceived by this movement.

2) to clarify again, Matthew 24:24 is not primarily a warning against FRAUDULENT signs and wonders (which would not be truly "great" at all) but spiritual COUNTERFEITS at least on par with those of Pharoah's magicians (Exodus 7:11).

3) the noteworthy aspect of increasing reports of supernatural "signs and wonders" (not simply "fakes" and "fools gold") is that the Lord Christ Jesus warned that such would be a preeminent sign of his soon return (Matthew 24:4).

4) furthermore, we ought not to be so arrogant as to assume we are exempt from being deceived ourselves (Prov 16:18, 1 Cor 10:12). As an example, consider Simon Peter's admirable and accurate profession of faith in Matthew 16:16, and then the Lord's scathing rebuke of him a few verses later (Matthew 16:23).

4) remember that the Apostle Paul "ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears" (for THREE YEARS!) about the apostasy attacking the church from within (Acts 20:29-31).

So again, in issuing a biblical rebuke to false teachers within the body, we ought not to ridicule those being deceived any more than we should mock unbelievers on the broad road to destruction—but rather, weep and warn in grief and humility as did the Apostle Paul.

5) in conclusion, discernment and "judging righteous judgment" (John 7:24) is serious business that requires conviction, courage, accuracy, and maturity; but those who seek only to take careless or unloving potshots need not apply.

The Apostle Paul speaks to every heart when he writes,

"For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.... Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits" (Romans 12:3,16).

With this in mind, Patricia King and her many associates and disciples are certainly in need of loving rebuke and biblical correction, but she and the victims of such “signs” that this movement promotes (whether fakes or demonic counterfeits) deserve not scorn but Christ-like pity, compassion, and prayers for their understanding, repentance, and deliverance.

When is Jesus and the Word of God enough? You've got to love the circus show!

When is Jesus and the Word of God enough? You've got to love the circus show!

There are many so called ministries that are obviously "goofy" and to which most Christians will reject completely.

The false teachers and deceptions that are dangerous are much more difficult to dissect, and they present themselves in a deeper and clandestine way. It will sound and appear Biblically authentic and will have ingredients such as humanitarian acts, marriage support, love, grace, and many other legitimate issues that will be used to deceive.

Watch and pray.

To Brother Mark Dinsmore, just writing to say thank you for all you've said on the issue. It was a blessing....

Of Jewels, Gold Dust, and Bleeding Statues

Sure, I laugh when I read that Jesus recently did a guest appearance on a taco, or an oil slick. Of course, there are statues in India that actually drink milk. Sure, they are the Hindu gods Lord Shiva, Lord Krishna, and Lord Ganesha, but if it’s spiritual, it’s gotta be God, right? I mean, “Lord” is even mentioned in there somewhere…

Wrong!

The world over, there are spiritual phenomena happening. The most recent fad concerns jewels appearing out of the ether along with gold dust falling like dandruff. Are these things really happening? I believe the answer is Yes. Is this something God is doing? Well...

God made food appear for the children of Israel, didn’t he? He multiplied oil for a widow and don’t forget Jesus multiplying food for the masses. He is a miracle working God.

As a believer in the miraculous, I am put off by these recent spiritual fads. We have numerous miracles of bleeding statues, idols crying, strange impressions on walls, etc. As a Biblically literate believer, I know these things to be demonic. But throw in jewels and gold dust and discernment is tossed out the door.

I believe these recent “miracles” are really a gift from the alternate god, Mammon. Why? They fit the character of Mammon but do not fit the character of Jesus.

I’ve struggled with health problems for years and have seen God do provisional miracles. In every instance it met a practical need. Even when Jesus walked on water he was going somewhere. He wasn’t grandstanding for the masses. He certainly wasn’t doing tricks and sleight of hand. There was genuine need to be met.

Years ago, I got involved with the Toronto Blessing and quickly saw the bad fruist and errors in the movement, repented, and walked away. Our former pastor decided many of us were conspiring against him and asked many to leave. Our associate pastor was fired publicly. A spiritual insanity was released that continues to cause damage to this very day. This was a blessing?

That church is now an empty shell of its former self. Many TB pastors later called the stuff that went on a “mixed blessing” and later began calling it what is was, a “mixed curse”. We all wanted it to be real and looked the other way at the bizarre, demonic stuff gong on.

Jesus warned in Matthew 24 that the first sign of the End Times was deception of a nature so subtle that it could, if possible, deceive the very elect. I remind all jewel hunting saints that the devil can appear as an angel of light and work miracles, too.

There are miracle workers in Scripture that were openly occultic. The Bible does not deny their miracles, but does strongly condemn the source of their power. Moses dealt with false miracle workers. So did the Apostles. And now, so are we. Even the witch at Endor could resurrect the spirit of a dead prophet.

WARNING:
The jewels and gold dust are symptoms of a sick faith in desperate need of God. In the coming days you will see “the dead” appearing in worship services, bringing words of great wonder for the faithful. The problem will be that necromancy is still sin. But that’s OK, it will be taught, because even as Jesus raised the dead, and these will be raised by the new miracle workers “in spirit” as a testimony to the faithful. It will be a great deception, but it will fill prophetic conferences and sell a lot of books and videos.

The same idolatry and hucksterism that has plagued the Roman church is now running rampant in the Protestant church. Why? Babylon is as Babylon does.

When donuts begin to multiply in the church foyer, should I assume the spirit of Homer Simpson has come? Goodness. Just because something is spiritual looking does not make it a God thing. In this case, quite the opposite.

Just discovered this blog. Good stuff.
Please, please, please pray for me. My pastor is being taken in by his desire to see a major move of God and is exposing us now to 'impartations of the spirit' from the Todd Bentley thing, focusing so much on wanting to see unusual things that others who are skeptical or searching the scriptures are being viewed as just those who have hard hearts. HE actually said that yesterday. We are either ready to open ourselves up to this or we have hard hearts. He said, " There is no middle ground".

I am suppose to meet with him this week, and have been involved in serving at the church. But I can't see how I can stay now. He isn't going to change his views because he is very gung ho about it. He also stated that as far as the end days are concerned, he really doesn't care. All he cares about is infiltrating this earth with God's kingdom and making heaven invade earth.

I'm one who senses that we are very near the end and this does not cause me want to hide or escape. Rather it convicts me to share the gospel with as manyh as possible and draw closer to my Lord Jesus. It grieves me that this focus on 'magic tricks' has caused the Word of the living God to be 'used' rather than taught in its entirety.

And please pray for me, because I sincerely don't want to come across to this dear man as one who is a pharisee or against a true move of God. I do desire to see Jesus exalted and move throughout the earth through his body.

But my deepest desire is Him, not just what I think He can do for me.
Thanks and God bless you,

Anthony

Sorry Anthony -- message sent before it was finished. Hebrews 4:14-16 promotes our coming to God to obtain grace to help in time of need. Jesus said that all things we would that others would do for us, we should do for them. Pray for your pastor as you would want to be prayed for. For unless we stand in the gap for these who have already fallen under this delusion, they will be fully given over to it. This is the express time we are living in -- the time 2 Thess. 2:11 speaks of -- God is sending those of us who have the truth to those who are under the powers of delusion. They will be given an opportunity to hear and turn from these demonic influences. If they refuse to hear you, refuse to consider what God's WORD clearly prophesies, then you have only one choice. God says that we should kick the dust off our feet and come out from these churches, that we not have any fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness and the unclean spirits that are behind these lying signs and wonders. Our witness and our separation proves that we are God's faithful obedient children. It will also bring witness against their unrighteousness. Some will then consider the sacrifice that we've been enabled to make to keep ourselves unspotted from this worldliness/demonically inspired laciviousness. But, count the cost -- many will hate us, ridicule us, persecute us and say all manner of evil against us falsely. Don't be intimidated. Know that Jesus is standing up for you and is well pleased. You are proving your salvation, working it out with fear and trembling. You will not go unrewarded by the Lord -- possibly not in this earthly time, but certainly in the day when He comes and reveals all men's hearts. Then shall every man and woman receive praise from God and reward. I will pray for you and your pastor/church. Please let me know how this turns for you.

Mark Dinsmore and Bryan Hupperts: Thanks, dear brothers, for standing as men of the Most High God in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation. Your wise words of discernment and exhortations to remain fully in the unchangeable Word while also maintaining an attitude of humility are refreshing. God Himself help us all...we are truly seeing strong delusions coming to separate the wheat from the tares! These are the days I have anticipated for more than three decades, now played out before our eyes.

Even so, help us to remain true, Lord Jesus. Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus!

Just viewed this blog for the first time - blows me away. How convincing are the deceiving spirits who deliver this stuff. And how gullible are those who accept it as being from God!!
My argument about all of this is that this 'demonstration' doesn't encourage people into a quest for God - it encourages them into a quest for more gold dust ..... and into a quest for prosperity.
I pray God will open their eyes to what is going on around about us - and within the church in these End Times.

Diamonds, gold dust, oil: try deceptions.

You scoffers and accusers of the brethren , have absolutely no evidence whatsoever that these are false miracles or signs . Most of you are just a bunch of dead religionists and pharisees that believe such signs and wonders no longer occur today and due to that silly presupposition of yours , you automatically assume Joshua Mills is a "false prophet".

Before you conclude anything in reference to these events , you should make the effort to REALLY investigate . That implies that you get off your hinny and go visit the places where this is supposedly occurring , and do some serious research . That requires time and effort . If you haven't done that then you're just completely ignorant and arrogant .

Honestly , I don't like this lady with the short blond hair , I think she looks …weird ? I also find Joshua Mills a little …weird ? However , I ask my self , is the problem theirs or mine ? Is this feeling of mine based on some prejudice I might have , or some other factor , having to do more with me than with them ? That's why , until I take the time and make the effort to go to one of their meetings , make my self present for one of those "miracle encounters" , I reserve judgment and simply say " I don't know " .

I have met people who were caught up in this movement. It is nothing but magic tricks, witchcraft, and chicanery to make money. I have seen the "gold dust" and the "oil" personally. The "gold dust" is plastic quare gold glitter. And the oil is essential oils and extract. All of this is slight of hand.
I have watched the videos. One of these proponents, Sylvania Machado is actually a witch. I have researched her in depth.
She is connected to the ministries pouring into the Lakeland revival and Todd Bentley who abuses people.

I have started a position to end these things in churches. Most of the people following these folks are highly impressionable sign-seekers.

PLEASE sign the petition and send it to as many people as possible. It is not spam, it is a legitimate petition on a legitimate petition site. Let's be proactive in shutting these decievers down.

Thanks!

Jay

It grieves me to see that the defenders of these practices on this website relegate everyone to scoffers. May I stand as the exception. I am no cessationist, I am Spirit-Filled and operate in all of the gifts of the Spirit as God wills (speaking in tongues, interpretation of tongues, healings, miracles, prophesy, etc). With that qualification, let me say that these "miracles" are false. And they are meant to decieve the elect.

These leaders are actually "self-decieved".
They believe themselves to be what they are not. They have gone the way of Simon the Magus:

Acts 8
18And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,
19 Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.
20But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.
21Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.
22Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.
23For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.

We need to command these people to stop in the name of Jesus.
