They say a picture is worth a thousand words. This logo says much much more than anything we could say. This is the logo for Faith House in Manhattan. This is an Emergent organization whose supporters include Brian McLaren and Tony Campolo. Here is what their mission statement says"
"OUR MISSION: We want to start a new kind of community in which we can discover The Other (individuals or groups other than those we belong to), deepen our personal and corporate journeys, and together participate in repairing the world. In this endeavor we will honor and learn from teachings, practices, and suffering of people from religions, philosophies, and worldviews, different from our own. Instead of isolating ourselves into like-minded groups or melting together into a single-minded organization, we will learn to live together with our differences and in a way that contributes to the wellbeing, peace, joy, and justice in the world. In this endeavor we will always be a courageous, hospitable and learning community."
We as Christians are called to proclaim and defend the ONE and ONLY way of salvation through Jesus Christ alone. The Emergent Church for years has been deconstructing and attacking these exclusive truths and have instead embraced relativism, openness and syncretism. This is a great example of the bad fruit being produced by the Emergent tree.
There are five blind men trying to describe and elephant. What happens to Elihu when he shows up?

Can we say 1 world religion. Can rapture be far away?

And we know well what the bible says about a certain tree producing bad fruit...one thing's for certain a good tree cannot bear bad fruit...

"We as Christians are called to proclaim and defend the ONE and ONLY way of salvation through Jesus Christ alone."
Defending the true gospel comes with a price. My cost is meagre compared to those who daily are persecuted, tortured, imprisoned and slain for the name of Jesus, our Lord and Saviour. Leaving friends behind at a man centered purpose driven church to find a Christ Centered and Bible Driven Church is nothing compared to the terror that some of our brothers and sisters face daily.
If you are in one of these so called churches that are starting to slide onto the broad way, don't walk but RUN away from it.

I know the guy who's running this. He's a good guy. He's a loving father and husband.
You might not like what he's doing. Fine. Just ignore him. Let the project fail, if God's not in it.
BTW, I like your site. It often makes me laugh.

the blatant blending of world religions is quite alarming. I keep seeing articles about islam, judaism and Christianity all meeting and talking (and "merging" eventually). Come quickly Lord Jesus

These types of social gatherings have been going on for years under the guise of the Unitarian Universalist "churches."
There is nothing new under the sun.
I may be a little dense, but what does that circle with nothing in it represent?

Dear Brothers,
I'm live in Uk and this multifaith agenda is already infiltrating evangelical churches here. More information check website www.hope08.com and www.churches-together.net.
God bless you!

Maybe the empty circle represents nihilism.
Posted by: Anthony | November 20, 2007 at 10:41 AM
Bro. Stanfield, I think the empty circle may represent any of the various atheistic faiths.
Or it could be a "fill-in-the-blank" option.

and this gospel shall be preached to all the world - jews - christians lacking the power of God- moslems -atheists - buddhists -hindus - do you know Jesus- did Jesus ever interact with those not of His Faith
Posted by: Shang Di Ai Li | November 23, 2007 at 09:45 AM
Shang, everyone with whom He interacts is initially not of His Faith.
Isn't that cool?

Now in return for the same (I speak as to children), you also be open. Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said:
“ I will dwell in them
And walk among them.
I will be their God,
And they shall be My people.”
Therefore
“ Come out from among them
And be separate, says the Lord.
Do not touch what is unclean,
And I will receive you.”
“ I will be a Father to you,
And you shall be My sons and daughters,
Says the LORD Almighty.”
2 Corinthians 6:12-18

We recently left our church because they are "emerging" (emerging from what, I don't know). Talk about chaos and having no idea what they are stating they believe.

I'm so sorry for this, since they are playing right in the hands of the enemy and courting the New Age god, who wants peace at all costs, even at the cost of doctrine and truth. The future religion of Antichrist will be exactly like that,a mix of everything and a denigration of Christianity. A free for all, where everything is valid, but nothing is absolute.

The extremely creepy part of what you say, Lygia, is that the Satanists are actively on the bandwagon of spiritual relativism, tolerance for everyone, yak yak yak.
...Oops. I meant, "tolerance for everyone BUT old-school Christians." They'd just as happily do without us. And lest you think that it's because "Christians are exclusivist," they don't mind Muslims--who KILL people for "heresy."
