Church Conference Video Mimics 'Male Enhancement' Commercial
This video, produced for wiredchurches.com for the upcoming 'Innovate' conference mimics a popular 'male enhancement' commercial that aires on secular T.V. This video, like the original even uses phallic innuendo to make its point.
Apparently Pastor Dave Anderson, the creator of this video forgot to consult his WWJD bracelet before putting this together.
That church's commercial was really DUM, dee-you-eemm, DUM!! I'd stay far away from them!

"innovate"?
Why don't they just call it "plagerize". What is so innovative about a bunch of motivational speakers that call themselves pastors getting together to here more motivational speakers who used to call themselves pastors but now call themselves "agents of change" or "molders of culture" speak ? The attendees return home, create a blog, hire a flim crew and simply copy topical series they heard about at the conference.
Some people might call that innovative, I call it goats leading sheep.

And once again, Baptism is portrayed in an irreverent manner. Nothing is sacred and holy as these people trample on the things of God while trying to grow their church: http://reformationnation.wordpress.com/2007/08/21/pragmatism-101-how-to-grow-your-church/

Heh heh heh...
This is supposedly to enhance someone's capacity for independent creativity and thinking, but did you notice how, in that one moment, it showed the four pastors in inset photos? Our "hero pastor" looks exactly like three of the four, with his goatee, nearly-shaved haircut, and glasses. So much for individuality.
Also, that cute little shot with the NASA rocket at a strategic location...Ech. Tasteless and immature.
All in all, my rating of this commercial is a "P" for "Pathetic."

Since these churches are in need of a proof text to fit their 'enlargement' of pride, maybe Isaiah's description of enlargement will help recover a well needed sense of reasoning:
Isaiah 5: 13 Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst. 14 Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.

Wow. I am speechless.

Well, by their fruit ye shall indeed know them. Here is a classic example of a complete lack of inovative ability advertising that they will "teach you how". The verse the Blind leading the Blind springs to mind, and the paraprhase " the daft leading the daft".

I wouldn't attend that church if it were the last one on earth! Do they really think that God thinks that is the least bit humorous? God help us all.

Perhaps they could open the conference with 'Stand up, Stand Up for Jesus'?
This is truly cringeworthy, especially the part about 'well-earned respect from other church leaders' is what every pastor desires! Such hubris!!

Good point, Steve. I'd missed that in my noticing the clonedness.
I thought every pastor's goal was to hear "Well done, thou good and faithful servant" come Judgment Day!

Umm...what was that?

Hmmm... there will be a hotter place in hell for those wicked people.
They even finished with a blue pill revealing their folly boldly and unashamedly.

Jesus must be weeping. Absolutely disgusting.
