Suggested Saddleback Venues Changes
Many people are not aware that Rick Warren's Saddleback Church is like a churchy amusement park. There are church services designed to meet a variety of entertainment tastes. Take one look at the Saddleback Venues web-page and you'll understand what we're talking about.
Sadly, times are changing and Saddleback church has not been able to keep up with the new preferred worship flavors of today's discriminating seeker. Therefore, we've developed an entire new set of Venues for Saddleback church to implement. See our proposed changes to Saddleback's Venues web page below.

too funny. i almost missed the funniest part. In the text about these venues it says "at these venues you'll get the same MAN-CENTERED BIBLICALLY WATERED DOWN POP-PSYCH SELF-HELP teaching as everyone else..."
somehow I don't think that was an exact quote from the saddleback site.

HA! Too good!
Why doesn't this seem too far fetched? Humor is always funny when it has truth in it! You've nailed it (them)! Right down to the locations and fonts! Too good!

Sadly, for a time Saddleback did have a venue much like your "Country Bar." After the video message they had country music and line dancing. I don't think it was very popular, because they stopped it after several weeks, but...

*sigh*
I thought the gathering of believers was a time together- not split into groups.
I was also under the impression that the aim of worship was to touch the "heart of our Heavenly Father", focusing on HIS preference- not ours...
I thought so many things...

I had to go to their website to check it out. And sadly, I'm seeing that in a lot of Churches these days.
Lively music coming out of gigantic speakers. Friendly conversation. Snacks in the foyer. Lots of entertainment, and God is nowhere to be felt.
I'm very sad now.

I'm just curious how you worship through hula (from their description of the Ohana venue)?

when i compare this site with Saddleback's website, i see extra sentence in this site.
"At these venues, you'll get the same man-centered Biblically watered down pop-psych self-help teaching....."
I CAN'T find this sentence at Saddleback's website at all. I wonder where in the world this guy get from or purposely posted a fake picture with additional sentence. This is serious!
Saddleback exact phrase is as below:
"At these venues, you'll get the same teaching as everyone else through a live video feed from the main service, but with a smaller, more intimate style."
Someone please correct it with your eyes open.
